In September 2026, I started playing Fridgle. A poetry writing toy with an ugly name that asks you to write a new poem every day, magnetic poetry style, using a random assortment of words and punctuation. Here are some of my favorites that I've written.
her voice
that easy safety
i got trapped, wanting
i surrendered to love
the hungry work
twisting us in acts of play
more easy minutes i owe
it is not all foolish
your wrongs
baby, you discover somebody
have the days mattered.
you protest
sometimes
you told me something silly
about vain whores feeding the whole
that accomplished life
but no specifics.
getting any yet?
oh.
noted
i regret this
helping you come to your world
what tired gestures from a needy girl
know that stopped here,
my sovereign house
change dispatched comfort
we survived being together
the snarling judgement you held
stressful thinking not founded
know i got mine
together we are easy
forgetting that pressure
we understand our silly faces
are fixing the fading marks
do you think that
patient love by whispers
could please me
yes,
obviously.
